You're gonna be running through both very fast. If you want to just enjoy the game and story and not struggle with resources, I'd recommend standard on the first playthrough. Hardcore's description as "for those who have played the OG" is misleading IMO. It's stingy on resources and enemies do quite a lot of damage.Unpopular Opinion - “Tough Guy” hardcore is musically boring and will always be a lesser form of HC compared to Fast HC that tends to have more song variety Ok. First, I understand that HC is a primitive form of rock music in that everything is turnt up to 10 and played really loud.Dungeoncraft is a mad lad. I've never disagreed so much with someone but you gotta admire his passion. Also it's not a YouTube channel but every DM should check out The Alexandrian's blog, for my money he has the best applicable DM advice out there (especially his posts on prepping situations instead of plots, node-based design and the three clue rule).
